Main supporting organizations and initiatives of E-LIS, Eprints in Library and Information Science

AePIC AEPIC is a project managed by CILEA that started in 2003 and now is able to provide innovative solutions for electronic publishing and digital libraries at very competitive costs and timetable, employing open-source and OAI-PMH compliant software. AEPIC coordinates and participates to several national and international projects.
FAO AIMS AIMS is the acronym for Agricultural Information Management Standards and is facilitated by the Office of Knowledge, Exchange, Research and Extension at FAO of the United Nations. AIMS is a platform for the dissemination of international information management standards, tools, services and good practices in the field of agriculture and related sciences. AIMS is lighting the way to a field of agricultural data sown with structured, linked information and knowledge. As these internet-based resources are distributed, AIMS facilitates communities of practice centered on the themes of interoperability, reusability and cooperation. These themes find their expression in vocabularies, methodologies, tools and services that promote coherence in agricultural information.
CILEA CILEA, Consorzio Interuniversitario Lombardo per l'Elaborazione Automatica, Italy, is a non-profit organization pooling nine Italian Universities. Its service is related to the field of library automation, which is provided in co-operation with the most significant projects at both national and European level.
DoIS DoIS, Documents in Information Science is a service for finding and downloading the latest research results in the area of Library and Information Scienc. DoIS is a database of articles and conference proceedings published in electronic format in Information Science. DoIS is a volunteer effort to create a free bibliographic resource of scientific texts specializing in Information Science.
DURASPACE DURASPACE DuraSpace is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. DuraSpace software and services are used worldwide as solutions for open access, institutional repositories, digital libraries, digital archives, data curation, virtual research environments, and more. DuraSpace is committed to providing leadership and innovation in the development and deployment of open technologies that promote durable, persistent access to digital data. DURASPACE collaborates with academic, scientific, cultural, and technology communities in creating practical solutions to help ensure that current and future generations have digital access to collective heritage.
RCLIS RCLIS, Research in Computing, Library and Information Science is a project to build a database of current and past documents in computing, librarianship, information science and technology, and related application activities. It's aim is to extend and update DoIS (Documents in Information Science). RCLIS is inspired by the open source software movement and it is based on volunteer power.
UPV Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain) is an innovative public institution, dedicated to research and teaching that keeps strong bonds with the social environment in which its activities are performed and simultaneously maintains an important presence abroad.
